We are very pleased to announce that Gardner Smith has acquired a strategic 50% share in Champion Liquid Feeds Pty Ltd (CLF) from Ridley Agri Products .

CLF is the market leader in suspension feeds for the livestock sector with molasses forming a key ingredient. It has brands such as Molafos and Equimol.  CLF has manufacturing plants in Mackay, Brisbane and Melbourne.

The acquisition complements Gardner Smith's growth in the liquid feed sector though our own ENERGRO V8 brand.  By using the Group's strategic assets and expertise we aim to broaden our national footprint in Liquid Feeds.

By way of this strategic acquisition GS has entered into a JV arrangement with the Westway Group (NASDAQ Listed) . Westway is the largest liquid feed manufacturer in North America and a very significant International bulk liquid storage company.

CLF are ably led by their General Manager, Peter Robson in Brisbane.
